The tall pine trees at the northwest corner of Calvary’s property, under which many of us often park, are expected to be cut down and removed in the coming weeks. Several years ago, a horticulturalist examined these trees and alerted the office to the fact that they are near the end of their life cycle. As a result they drop large branches often. The church office has sought 4 estimates from tree experts to remove the trees including the stumps. In the future, as building renovations are performed, a landscaping plan will also be developed, which will incorporate the planting of new trees in this area of our property.
Prayers for the family of Alden Everett, boyfriend of Keturah Kiehl, are requested upon the recent passing of Alden’s grandmother. Her passing was followed by an unrelated, significant farming accident which injured Alden’s father, Terry. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help Alden’s family cover significant medical bills associated with the accident. More information and an opportunity to donate can be found HERE.
The Calvary Men’s Group will meet on Tuesday, November 13th from 6-9pm. Pizza will be served, along with time for conversation, followed by some repair work around the building. All men are welcome to attend.
