Construction Update 10/3/16
Much has happened in the last month. The roof over the sanctuary has been completed with new gutters and downspouts as well as improvements in water redirection away from the building. The stone walls inside and outside of the Sanctuary have been repointed to fix water damage in numerous spots. The curved wall at the edge of the A-Frame was excavated and re-sealed to prevent future water damage. Many interior surfaces have now been repainted including the back wall in the sanctuary, which used to be tile, and the front wall behind the altar. Entry and exit doors throughout the building have also been given a fresh paint of coat.
We are still awaiting delivery of the extensive new lighting package that will brighten the sanctuary and give multi-color theatrical options. Pew modifications are also underway in the Sanctuary to provide additional ADA seating capacity throughout.
Final preparations are now being made in advance of the October 15th and 16th Anniversary weekend.
